GETTING MY HELP
MENTAL WELLNESS FOUNDATION

GREG ELLIS

A few years ago I received the sad news that an NFL legendary
iconic football player ended his life by way of Suicide. Even though i
did not know him personally, I could not help but to hurt for him and
his family. It was at that moment that I really started to pay attention
to mental health, and the lasting negative effects it has on families
across the world.  In addition I also realized I have been around individuals with undiagnosed and misdiagnosed mental health disorders all of my life, ranging from teammates, friends, family, and even myself. Most of them including myself suffered in silence and ignored the problem.
It saddens me when I think about all the hurt
and loss of life that came from undiagnosed or misdiagnosed mental
wellness challenges. Also it motivated me to do something to help. It
is with this motivation that inspired me to create "Getting My Help,"
which is a mental wellness foundation.
