GETTING MY HELP
MENTAL WELLNESS FOUNDATION

GREG ELLIS

A few years ago, I received the heartbreaking news that a legendary NFL football player had taken his own life. Although I didn't know him personally, I couldn't help but feel deep sorrow for him and his family. It was at that moment that I began to pay closer attention to mental health and the lasting negative effects it has on families worldwide. I also realized that I had been surrounded by individuals with undiagnosed and misdiagnosed mental health disorders throughout my life—teammates, friends, family, and even myself. Most of us, including myself, suffered in silence and ignored the problem. It saddens me to think about all the hurt and loss of life that has resulted from undiagnosed or misdiagnosed mental wellness challenges.
This realization motivated me to take action. Inspired by this motivation, I created "Getting My Help," a mental wellness foundation dedicated to making a difference.
THE GOAL
All people have the opportunity to live a holistic, healthy, and productive life, despite any mental wellness challenges.
THE MISSION
We aim to raise awareness through community events and created media content.
980 MILLION
According to research, 980 million people have been diagnosed with a mental health disorder. This means 1 out of every 8 people worldwide has been diagnosed with some type of mental wellness challenge, not counting those who are undiagnosed or misdiagnosed.
THE MOVEMENT
Would you consider joining the mental wellness movement by making a donation to support our goal of ensuring that mental wellness challenges do not prevent anyone from living a holistic, healthy, and productive life?
